About this Integration

QuickBooks + Taskip

The QuickBooks Online integration keeps your Taskip invoices, contacts, and payments in sync with your accounting software going forward, automatically. Every invoice created in Taskip appears in QuickBooks immediately, not just after payment, and every payment recorded in Taskip marks the corresponding QuickBooks invoice as paid. If you already have customers or invoices sitting in QuickBooks — from a previous system, or entered directly — a one-time guided import can bring them into Taskip too. Nothing pulls in silently: you see counts and a match preview first, and anything the system can't confidently match on its own (a similar-but-not-identical name, an invoice with no clear paid/unpaid signal) is flagged for you to confirm, not guessed.

What You Get with QuickBooks

Automatic invoice sync

Every Taskip invoice syncs to QuickBooks instantly, no manual export needed.

Real-time contact sync (Taskip → QuickBooks)

New or updated clients in Taskip appear in QuickBooks automatically.

Payment reconciliation

Invoice payments recorded in Taskip automatically mark QuickBooks invoices as paid, and payments recorded directly in QuickBooks are reflected back in Taskip.

Import what you already have

Bring existing QuickBooks customers and invoices into Taskip with a reviewable import — matched by email or company where possible, with anything uncertain flagged for a quick manual check instead of guessed.

Tax rates that mean the same thing in both places

Set up a shared tax rate catalog once; QuickBooks tax codes map onto it automatically during import, so line-item tax stays accurate on both sides.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the QuickBooks integration free?

No. Taskip integrations are available on paid plans only. The free plan includes core CRM, project management, and client portal features. To connect QuickBooks, upgrade to a paid Taskip plan.

How do I connect QuickBooks to Taskip?

Go to Settings → Integrations → QuickBooks Click Connect to QuickBooks Log in to your Intuit account and authorise access Select your QuickBooks company file Open the Settings tab and set your Default Item and Default Deposit Account (Optional) If you already have customers/invoices in QuickBooks, run the guided import from the same settings page — review the preview, then confirm

What happens if I disconnect QuickBooks from Taskip?

Disconnecting stops all future syncs and event sends. Your existing data in both QuickBooks and Taskip remains intact, nothing is deleted from either platform.

I already have customers and invoices in QuickBooks — will connecting Taskip import them, or create duplicates?

Connecting QuickBooks on its own does not import anything automatically — it only turns on sync going forward. To bring in your existing QuickBooks customers and invoices, run the separate guided import from the same settings page: it shows you exactly how many records it found and how it plans to match them (by email, then by company name) before anything is created in Taskip. Confident matches are linked automatically; anything ambiguous — a name that's close but not exact, an invoice with no clear paid/unpaid signal — is created but flagged for you to confirm, so you always get the final say rather than a silent guess. Vendors and expenses aren't part of this import — Taskip doesn't track those yet, so they stay QuickBooks-only.
